It is a vertical climb on a narrow chain ladder. You will need to start at the before sunrise to make sure that you are not on the rock surface, because of the heat. Take your rubber gardening gloves for the cables and wear your grapiest shoes for hiking. The hike itself didn’t seem too difficult, although there are one-zillion steps. When you are visiting Yosemite Valley, it’s impossible to avoid the views of El Capitan. El Capitan is an awesome vertical rock formation that is located on north side of Yosemite Valley near the Western end. El Capitan area extends to around 3000 feet from the base to its summit. The water rushing in the river in front of El Capitan offered spectacular peaceful views, a great spot to take in lunch or just relax. El Capitan is a spectacular geologic feature and an awe-inspiring site. El Capitan is one of those highlights of your visit Yosemite.
