The FAA has issued a presidential-like temporary flight restriction (TFR) for Super Bowl XL February 5 in Detroit, even though President Bush won’t be there. But the TFR stops at the Canadian border. "Canada has maintained a commonsense approach on this and won’t implement super-sized flight restrictions during a sporting event," said AOPA President Phil Boyer. "There’s a lesson there."
