Laser Powered Paper Airplane.

It’s only a few centimetres in size and it reached speeds of about 1.4 metres per second, the first laser powered paper plane has taken off. Japanese scientists behind the work hope that their creation could eventually be used for climate or volcanic eruption monitoring. The mini plane is powered when a laser heats up a tiny amount of acrylic polymer or water on the aluminium foil body. However, at the moment, the plane cannot be propelled again once it’s in the air. Further developments aim to find a way to make the laser control the plane’s direction. Full Story.
