WASHINGTON: Two days of hearings start today to determine if video cameras should be installed in airplane cockpits. The National Transportation Safety Board recommended four years ago that the Federal Aviation Administration require large aircraft be equipped with crash resistant cameras. They could give accident investigators a better idea on what causes crashes. Pilots don’t like the idea. They have privacy issues and they are worried about subjective interpretations of pilots’ actions in the seconds before a crash. Full Story.
