Supreme Court Shuns Female Pilot’s Appeal.

WASHINGTON: The Supreme Court refused Monday to hear an appeal from one of the first women trained to fly Navy combat jets, who contended an advocacy group ruined her career with a smear campaign questioning her abilities. Former Navy Lt. Carey D. Lohrenz was one of two women chosen to fly F-14 Tomcat jets 10 years ago, amid controversy over women’s role in combat and fitness to fly combat aircraft. Full Story.
