Boeing to Proceed With 7E7 After $6 Billion ANA Order.

(Bloomberg): Boeing Co., the world’s second-biggest maker of commercial aircraft, said All Nippon Airways Co. agreed to buy 50 7E7 planes for about $6 billion, the premiere order for Boeing’s first new model in more than a decade. Boeing expects orders from Europe before the end of the year, and ’’a large number’’ of carriers from the U.S., Asia and the Middle East to also order the plane. There will be a market for 3,500 planes the size of the 7E7 worth $400 billion over 20 years, Boeing Senior Vice President Mike Bair said on a conference call. Full Story.
