SAINT-SYMPHORIEN-LE-CHATEAU, France (AFP) : French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin called on Libya Thursday to respect promises he said it had made to pay increased compensation to the families of passengers killed in a 1989 plane bombing. “We hope these negotiations that have been interrupted a little while ago will soon resume,” he said on the sidelines of a meeting of foreign ministers from Mediterranean states that included his counterpart from Libya.
