Ryanair Bans All Firearms.

Passengers have been banned from transporting guns on Ryanair flights. It means thousands of enthusiasts who fly to shooting competitions or weekend hunts will have to use another airline. Ryanair said: “We have advised our handling agents at all airports not to accept these items.” It said it had brought the ban in “to ensure aviation remains the safest form of public transport”. Chris Yates, of Jane’s Airport Review, said: “I suspect the UK airlines will follow suit. “It could have a domino-type effect. “There is a security issue here, but the carriage of guns also has a lot of paperwork surrounding it.” Full Story.
