The BBC has learnt that 4,000 jobs are at risk because the Ministry of Defence (MoD) wants to pull the plug on a high profile scheme to repair military jets at RAF St Athan. The future of Project Red Dragon, and 3,000 Welsh jobs finally seemed secure in February this year when the Defence Aviation Repair Agency (Dara) confirmed it would go ahead with a £77m aircraft maintenance centre near Cardiff.
